Put each car online straight from its record in Motorvar.

Sooner or later, the spreadsheet and the website show different prices. Motorvar's car pages take the price from the car's record, so the price shoppers see on them is the one your team set.

Publish a car and it gets its own page with photos, the price, a payment estimate and three ways to reach you, and it shows up on your storefront.

Your published cars are easy to find and ask about.

  • Publish from the car record

Choose which cars go online with the price and details your team already entered.

  • Help shoppers narrow their search

Your storefront filters cars by make, model, body style, price, year and mileage.

  • Describe the car yourself

Add your own description alongside the car's specifications and photos.

  • Show a clear payment estimate

Each priced car shows an estimated monthly payment with its rate, term and down payment assumptions.

  • Book within your opening hours

Shoppers choose an available test-drive slot during the hours you set for your lot.

  • Keep inquiries with the car

Questions and messages from a car page become leads tied to that car.

You decide which cars go online.

Nothing goes online until someone on your team publishes it, and a car can't be published until it has a VIN, year, make, model, mileage, color, a price and at least one photo. The car's page in Motorvar lists anything that's missing.

Publish or withdraw many cars at once from the inventory list. When a car moves to Pending sale or Sold, or is archived, its page comes down on its own.

Each car gets a page made for a shopper on a phone.

The page has a photo gallery shoppers can swipe through, the price, the key facts and a monthly payment estimate. Right under the estimate, the page says it assumes 9% APR over 72 months with 10% down.

The page also shows your own description of the car, the full details with the VIN, and your phone number and hours. On a phone, a bar stays at the bottom of the screen with the price, a call button and a “Check availability” button. Your internal notes never appear on the page.

Shoppers can ask a question, book a test drive or send a message.

All three sit in one panel on the car's page. Each one creates a lead on that car and emails your dealership the shopper's details with a link to the lead. If the shopper left an email address, replying to that email reaches them directly. Reply from the lead in Motorvar, or log the call if you phone them, and the lead counts as answered.

In Settings, choose whether your team gets an in-app alert for every new website lead or only when a lead's email couldn't be sent. If the same person asks about the same car again within a week, it goes onto their open lead instead of starting a new one. The form also has a hidden field, a timing check and rate limits to keep automated spam out.

Shoppers can book a test drive in the hours you set.

Shoppers pick a day in the next two weeks and a 30-minute slot at least an hour away. Times when that car is already booked don't show up.

Set booking hours for each day of the week and close single dates for holidays. The dealership gets an email, the shopper gets one too if they left an email address, and the booking appears on your appointments list.

Your storefront lists every car you publish.

Your storefront at motorvar.com/dealers/your-name shows your published cars 60 to a page, with search, filters for make, model, body style, price, year and mileage, and three ways to sort. It also shows your address, phone number and hours.

Copy its address from Settings and put it on your website or your social pages.

To show your cars on your own website, paste the embed code from Settings into a page, or give the company that runs your site your inventory feed. Sold cars drop off on their own.

Car pages are ready for search engines and link previews.

Each car page has its own address, a title and a description, a preview image when the link is shared, and structured data that describes the car and its price. Your published cars are listed in a sitemap.

When a car is sold or taken offline, its address shows a page saying the car is no longer available.

Photos are cleaned up before they go public.

When you publish a car, Motorvar makes public copies of its photos. They're turned the right way up, sized for the web, stripped of location and camera details, and come with smaller versions and thumbnails that load quickly on a phone.

Your originals stay private, and taking a car offline removes its public copies.

Leads from Facebook, Instagram and Google links are labeled for you.

When someone reaches a car's page from a Facebook, Instagram or Google link and gets in touch, the lead is labeled Facebook or Google, and the campaign details from the link are kept on it. Instagram counts as Facebook. The lead source report shows which sources turn into sales.

Questions dealers ask us.

Where do I change the price shoppers see?

Update the asking price on the car's record. Its public page, your storefront and your feeds show that price plus the doc fee you set in Settings.

What happens when the car sells?

A car's public page comes down when it moves to Pending sale or Sold, or when you archive it.

Can I choose when shoppers book test drives?

Yes. Set booking hours for each weekday and close individual dates for holidays or other days off.
