Move your records into Motorvar from spreadsheets or your current system's CSV exports.

The template has 18 columns, from the VIN, stock number and mileage to what you paid, the asking price, your notes and the description shoppers see.

Motorvar catches duplicate VINs and stock numbers, and it won't import the same file twice.

Customers import with first name, last name, email, phone and notes, and a customer export from Motorvar can be imported back as it is. If a customer's email is already in Motorvar, the import stops and lists the rows to fix.

Leads import with name, email, phone, source, stage, notes and inquiry date, and arrive unassigned. The same lead file can't be imported twice, and each import tells you which columns it ignored.

Deal files carry the status, the dates and the money, including the sale price, fees, tax, trade and down payment. Motorvar shows how many rows will import and saves nothing until you confirm, and closed deals mark their car sold.

Only owners and managers can import the vehicle cost and expected gross columns, or deals that are already closed or cancelled.

Motorvar lists your recent inventory imports with how many cars each one brought in and how many of those cars are still in Motorvar. If one was wrong, undo it from that list after seeing how many cars will be deleted, archived or kept.

Upload a car's photos in one batch from a phone or a computer, and file documents on a car, a customer or an item on a deal's checklist.

An owner can download the whole dealership from Settings. The archive holds every record as a spreadsheet, plus the original photos, documents and attachments, in ZIP files. Owners and managers can also export inventory, leads, customers, deals and the rest to CSV at any time.
